Youth & Young Adult Mass Choir Details
Age Requirement: 12 – 25 years old
Mandatory Rehearsal Dates (Singers must attend all three rehearsals to participate):
Saturday, November 14, 2026: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Saturday, November 21, 2026: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Saturday, December 5, 2026: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Rehearsal on concert day Tuesday, December 8th at 3:30pm. More details are to follow.
Rehearsal Location: Girard College Chapel 2101 S. College Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19121
Rehearsal Day Logistics:
Day of Contact: Mr. Paul Eaton (215-264-8543)
Check-In: Check in at the front gate (Campus Security will expect participants).
Parking: Available in the lot behind the chapel building.
Guidelines: Bring a water bottle. Food is not permitted in the chapel.
Singer Policies
Singer Policies
All are welcome in VOP but not all can "stay". We ask VOP singers to practice commitment and communication (also in our handbook) to stay.
As a VOP singer, I will:
Commit to show up on time (early) weekly to rehearsal at 5pm.
-Students must have at least 80% attendance to be approved for performances.Reserve performance dates in VOP concert calendar and reserve those times/days
Communicate when I have a conflicts. We understand conflicts occur (illness, religious, school, family commitments). But we need to know so we can prepare.
If I can’t attend a rehearsal - I will TEXT/EMAIL Dr. Whitney / Levar ASAP.
If I can’t attend a concert - I will TEXT/EMAIL Dr. Whitney / Levar at least 2 weeks in advance
NO "GHOSTING" = no show/ no call. Students who are "No show, no call” will not be approved to perform, and risk dismissal from choir.

5. Practice music at home between rehearsals www.voplovestopractice.com
6. Try my best in rehearsal, be vulnerable, loving, and respectful to fellow singers.
7. Be professional and self-disciplined in rehearsals, on trips and at concerts which includes:
limited phone use (only when director approved)
respectful toward church (or other) rehearsal and perforrmance spaces and equipment
No drugs or any illicit substances of any kind allowed at VOP.
